Koala Audiobooks Dedicated Today to Mum - 16th September 1945 - 14th July 2015 -LOVE is for Life
DAT Tapes in the Back Shed - 2014 - Mum & I watching Big Bang Theory She Roars with Laughter Hard Belly Laughs Always Hurt Good - She yells out - " Oh that Sheldon is a Dickhead " as I have hard belly laughs trying to catch my breath then Mum says the most brilliant idea about turning my past radio stories in audiobooks
" You Know those radio stories in the shed in you're boxes you've had for over 20 years protecting then from the environment, you should turn them into audiobooks "
Rushed to back shed in the back yard i grew up in during the 1970's & found 2 Boxes Full of over 40 DATS - Digital Audio Tapes - from the 1990's - which had my award winning radio documentaries on various issues involving various Australian issues
Placed the DATS on Mum's coffee table and we both had big smiles as we knew i could re-produce all my past radio stories into audiobooks, as a freelancer radio producer for 6 community radio stations for 10 years in Perth
Mum and I sat down for a year a planned all productions of stories - we wrote up on a whiteboard of all my past stories - what i could start editing - Goal was 50 Audiobooks in 5 Years which is 10 audiobooks a year for 5 years - a lot of editing
On the Whiteboard we also planned my trip to various remote communities on the PY Lands of South Australia - then we drove up to the Kimberely - East & West Kimberely - Then across over to Arnhem Land - then over to Cape York then down to the Daintree Rainforest - We drove about 4000 km in nearly 2 years recording many interviews with Australians
We also discussed getting all my past radio stories back from the National Film & Sound Archives in Canberra - as for 10years early 2000's - 20 years ago - i had recorded many interviews with Australians then i sent these off to the National Archives in Canberra and Mum stated Why Not Get all these stories back and i Have
Thus Koala Audiobooks has over 100 Stories in Production

Gough Whitlam Past Prime Minister of Australia was chatting to My Mum and her Hero Gough Whitlam - they both had a great conversation where i was just agreeing with both of them and nodding as i hear Gough Whitlam Say to Mum
