What I Learned About Myself Staying in My Own Lane in 2025

Welcome to my Koala Flash Reflection 2025 What i learned about myself staying in my own lane again for a year
i have not written anything in months, apologies just busy as editing hours each day - so here we go
Again, i am big joker in my life, life is just way too short to take life seriously, so every day i crack lots of jokes cause i love laughing hard - Mum grew me up well to laugh and enjoy life so with the stories that i produce for the world it's a good feeling i can laugh at all the stories i've done cause if i took any of them seriously i would not enjoy my life
3 Year ago ( November 2022 ) i gave up alcohol & was the best decision i've ever made in my life, as age 55 i was struggling mentally emotionally & health wise, even failing to edit hours each day, so i empowered myself & gave up alcohol, i'm healthier, happier, i think better, more energy, life is just better without alcohol, have drank my whole life and last 3 years never been happier off alcohol, only those who have given it up really understand what i'm saying maybe but Mum instilled in me that alcohol is not everything, she banned alcohol growing up, made it clear it will ruin my life, she was right, life is better no alcohol, Mum made it clear alcohol is a depressant it makes you depressed & i don't even mix with people who drink alcohol, my decision
Capacity Building another great year learning new skills in certain areas, yes i did thousands of hours of editing goals to produce stories but editing goes wrong with telling stories thus re-start all part of the fun with over 20 Koala Audiobooks in production
Social Media Advertising - 6 videos 20 seconds each are ready to go on Facebook advertising - in the end i decided i was good enough to produce my own video adds and they are all brilliant adds once again capacity building i taught myself how to produce my own video adds now next week people in New York or London will scroll Facebook & see my 20 second video adds on saving Koala's or Drones Dropping Bombs or Gas Fracking Mining or Deaths in Custody or Land Laws or Camels thus unique aussie stories they will see & hear from aussies talking
Resilience is deffo still in me how i deal with problems cause to me they are good problems to have they arise & i deal with them eg my poster in Hervey Bay Airport, overcharged 3 times this year by bishop advertising threw my whole budget out for all- in the end decided to have the poster taken down & goes back up in March 2026 but great news is my poster is going into New Zealand, also Broome and Whitsundays Airports and also a Koala Flash Digital Screen so another 3 airports in 2026 thus 4 airports in 2026
Another major setback this year was about a month ago, very stressful where got a message from Shopify to pay for major upgrade to checkout for security pay up or freeze my store = store frozen 2 times - worked through it all paid over $1000 in fees upgrades to save Koala Audiobooks - Shopify have strong rules i adapt to their policy or i lose my store thus you cant download any stories so after 5 years this year was testing adapting to Shopify Policy
Basically i have never been happier, after 5 years now of Koala Audiobooks i am the happiest i have ever been, i see the world play my audio samples, i wake up to downloads from other countries, so i wake up happy to profits as shopify pays me out 3 days later, so i'm actually living my dreams, 2026 will be huge as i did lots of capacity building on myself this year new skills to make 2026 a brilliant year to succeed with Koala Audiobooks as my goal is to get 20 downloads a day also 20 downloads at night while i sleep thus i will get 40-50 downloads every 24 hours by this time next year December 2026
